Tubular piles are preformed steel cylindrical elements that can be either open-ended or closed-ended.
They are commonly used in marine applications such as offshore structures, marina jetties and harbour dolphins, where disturbance through impact and vibration driving methods is not a considerable concern and soft sea beds and river beds regularly occur.
They are often coated through the length of the inter-tidal zone to improve the design life of the structure.
Tubular piles can vary in dimension from 300mm to 3000mm and up to 35m in length.
