• Driven Piling

Made from either precast concrete, timber or steel, driven piles displace the ground and compact the ground as the driving process progresses, this means that no pile spoil is created, making them very suitable for sites that feature contaminated ground.

The piles can feature a wide variety of cross sections, square, H-profile or circular.

A range of very small to large rigs can install driven piles, sometimes the hammer strikes the top of the pile and in other situations the hammer can strike the toe of the pile.

The impact from the drop hammer creates a noise operation so is not suitable in residential or sensitive areas.
