The Big Night Out with Suttles has a New Venue!
Last week marked an exciting new chapter for The Big Night Out with Suttles as we hosted our first event at The Old Fire Station in Bournemouth – and what a night it was!
The Big Night Out with Suttles is organised by and wouldn’t exist without the expertise and knowledge of Emily & Amanda at People First Forum. Together with our sponsorship & support we welcomed nearly 400 attendees, joining us from across Dorset from Weymouth to Christchurch and everywhere in-between!
The atmosphere was nothing short of incredible. The dance floor was full all evening, the music from Mix it up Kru was pumping, and most importantly, there were smiles everywhere you looked. It was a truly fantastic night, that brought people together to celebrate, connect, and overall have fun.

The Big Night Out with Suttles has always been about creating a welcoming, inclusive space for adults with learning disabilities to enjoy a great night out, something that most of us take for granted, and this event is the perfect example of just how meaningful that can be.
For the first time this year we also had Mobiloo in attendance, Mobiloo offers mobile, accessible toilets and changing facilities, enabling disabled individuals to participate in events and outings with dignity and independence. We are thrilled to have been able to add this to the Big Night Out with Suttles, helping it to become even more accessible! If you would like to learn more about them you can click here.
Our Marketing & Media manager Georgina Suttle & Sales Manager Andy McCuish attended as a volunteers and were really touched by the wholesome atmosphere and the clear impact the event was having on everyone involved. When asked if they were enjoying themselves one attendee shared how much it meant to him, describing it as the highlight of his social calendar and expressing how proud he is to have the biggest club night for adults with learning disabilities on his doorstep.
Hearing feedback like that reminds us exactly why we got involved with the Big Night Out in the first place. A huge thank you to all of the volunteers and of course everyone who came along and made the evening so memorable. We’re already looking forward to the next one.
