It’s an honour to see our Purbeck limestone, quarried from our California Quarry in Swanage play a key role in a garden celebrated on a national stage.

A Garden Rooted in Meaning and Materials

The Freedom to Flourish garden was designed as a space for reflection, calm, and connection with nature. As described by the designers:

“Gribble-marked timber, centuries-old Purbeck Stone, and reclaimed steel embody the richness and quality found in unrushed rest.”

The garden’s hard landscaping included Purbeck stone boulders, carefully selected from our California Quarry in Swanage. The use of natural Dorset stone helped ground the design in place, heritage, and sustainability.

Chelsea Flower Show Visit

Nick Crocker, Quarry Manager at our California Quarry, visited the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in person to see the garden in the flesh and meet the designers. It was a proud moment for our team to see Suttles stone featured in such an acclaimed build — and to personally congratulate the team on their success.
