This project was for the refurbishment of the seawall at The River Hamble Harbour Master’s Office which was in desperate need of repair.
Due to the nature of the location of the seawall and the tides, in order for the site operatives to be able to repair the seawall they needed to construct a temporary sheet pile cofferdam; this was to lengthen the working window and to ensure that the working area was kept clean.
The refurbishment works involved casting a concrete face to the existing wall to encourage biodiversity by mimicking a natural rockface. You can see the completed works below.
