The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is always one of the biggest sources of garden inspiration each year. We’re incredibly proud to supply stone for RHS Chelsea most years, including this year & some of those have even been award winners!

In 2018 we supplied stone to husband & wife team Janine Crimmins and Andrew Loudon. Working alongside each other, Janine Crimmins is an award-winning garden designer whilst Andrew Loudon is an award-winning dry stone walling Master Craftsman with over 30 years experience. Together they were commissioned by a private client to construct the garden and were given free reign on the project.

The highlight of this magnificent garden was a dry stone, half-domed niche immaculately crafted from Purbeck stone, with a curved sawn seat nestled within it.

More recently in 2025 we supplied stone for ‘The Addleshaw Goddard Freedom to Flourish Garden’, “inspired by a Norfolk colloquialism, this garden is a creative interpretation of nature’s call to embrace its unhurried pace”. Created by Carey Design Studio, we supplied some of the garden’s hard landscaping, including Purbeck stone boulders, carefully selected by the client from our California Quarry in Swanage. 

This beautiful, thoughtful space received two top honours: Small Garden of the Year & Best Construction.

Nick Crocker, Quarry Manager at our California Quarry, visited the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in person to see the garden in the flesh and meet the designers. It was a proud moment for our team to see Suttles stone featured in such an acclaimed build, and to personally congratulate the team on their success.

Over the years, we have supplied both Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Flower Show many times with our feature boulders, and larger decorative stone. Boulders can completely transform a garden design, adding structure, texture, and a natural focal point that works beautifully in both contemporary and wildlife-inspired spaces.
