Alumhurst Road Boundary Wall Works
This contract involved the construction of a bored kingpost retaining wall, with timber sleeper infills, within the grounds of an existing healthcare facility, to improve the amenity value through new hard and soft landscaping.
Due to the sensitive nature of the facility, it was important that our staff understood that they needed to behave in a manner appropriate to their surroundings, and for the work to be carried out in such a way as to ensure that facility staff and patients were not disturbed.
As on all of our sites, the site manager was responsible for informing staff of the required conduct and ensuring this was adhered to. By using current specification equipment, with high built-in noise attenuation and low emission, we were able to keep any disturbance to a minimum. We also designed a structure that involved boring rather than impact driving or vibration. Working within a structured time span to fit in with the immediate environment, further ensured that the patients and staff were not inconvenienced.
With careful specification, quality materials and by using current piling technology to get good alignment, we were able to achieve a high standard of finish.
The experience of working within a healthcare environment reminded our staff of the need to be professional at all times.
Good value, high quality materials and service
