Ford Civil Engineering
- Overview - 300 tonnes of 40mm recycled rejects were required for a housing development at Westport Road in Wareham being built by South West builders and developers CG Fry and Son. Suttles also removed inert materials, surplus soil and excess concrete and hardcore.
- Why Ford Civil Engineering chose Suttles - "We have a long-standing relationship with Suttles. It is a company that operates with both integrity and honesty, with high levels of customer service. They charge fair prices for good products."
- On the job - "Suttles delivered the 300 tonnes of 40mm recycled rejects to our site in Wareham. This was used to create drainage in the form of soakaways on the development. The Suttles trucks were used to clear the site by removing excess materials including soil, concrete and hardcore."
- Testimonial - Director, Jay of Ford Civil Engineering, said, "We will always try and use Suttles when working in their area."
Markline Construction
- Overview - Work at the Dorset Emergency Services Partnership Initiative (DESPI) project, the joint emergency service police and fire station on Wimborne Road, Poole. Trucks were used to transport excess inert materials away from the site, aggregates and recycled products were supplied and delivered to the site by Suttles.
- Why Markline Construction chose Suttles - "From ordering through to delivery and invoicing, Suttles is one of the best companies that we deal with. On the rare occasion there is a problem, they are sorted out right away."
- On the job - "Many main contractors stipulate the use of recycled products due to government guidelines. We try to use recycled shingle when we can and recommend this where possible to our clients. Suttles' recycled products are competitively-priced and do the job just as well as primary products so this is good for us, good for the client, and good for the earth. However it is not always possible to use recycled products for every job as it depends on what our clients have requested. The quality of materials is good but service and communication levels from Suttles are even better. We know that if there is a problem on site, for example if we have under-ordered materials, then we can call Suttles and it gets resolved."
- Testimonial - Darren Loader, plant manager at Markline Construction says, "Suttles is an excellent all-round company and a pleasure to work with. I really can't fault them."
